I wonder what it will bring

As I think about the coming of the new year 2013,
I wonder what it will bring.
And then I wonder what I can bring to it myself.

My thoughts bring me to a gentle,
warm and pleasant place.
A place of blankets made by hand.
A blanket of patches comes to mind.
and on each patch is a name.
some old, some new.
and some I have yet to know.
and all are placed randomly in a basket
it is for me to sew them together.                     
and when I do,
a blessing will flow.

yet still their colours shine through.

step into a new day

the bubbling of poetry,

 

shifts aside all greys of thoughts.

And awakens the ghost of singular gulls

dawning against the fresh pink of morning.

And flocks of bachelor birds tumble and turn,

delighting, twisting in visible flight.

 

They play and command the skies.

And with the rising of first light,

the echo of stillness sounds all around.

a special thought at christmas

Today we celebrate the special gift of the birth of Jesus, the Son of God,

who is our Lord and Saviour.

And today as I began my day with prayer and thanksgiving,

I became so aware that there was something else born on that special day.

And that was a family.

Thank God for all our families.

past, present and future.

LOVE has a voice.

Her words are like jewels,

when placed in a CROWN, they reveal KINGSHIP,

when laid in a grave, the reveal DEATH,

when laid in a manger, they reveal LIFE,

and when they touch holiness, they reveal GOD.

there are no nothings in this world

There are no nothings in this our world.

for all that is made, is made to make us think,

made to make us see, to breath and to live.

For all that is made is a reflection.
